Albert Arthur CORBLE, son of Joseph CORBLE (c. 1837-c. 1893) and Sarah TAYLOR (c. 1839-c. 1919), was born on 19 October 1881 in South Lopham, Norfolk. He was baptised on 5 February 1882 in South Lopham. Very little can be found about Albert’s military service. The only records are the absent voter entry and the award of the British War Medal and Victory Medal, both references to Albert Arthur Corble, driver 234441, Royal Field Artillery. He was on the in 1918 Absent Voters List at Redgrave Road in South Lopham - No. 3991: 234441 Dvr., 15th D.S.A.C. R.F.A. He died on 16 July 1962 in Norwich, Norfolk - age 80 years. He had his estate probated on 6 April 1964 - “CORBLE Albert Arthur of Redgrave Road South Lopham Diss Norfolk died 16 July 1962 at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital Norwich Administration Norwich 6 April to Stanley George Corble agricultural worker. £743.”
